During this period, it acquired a number of Class 56 locomotives, retaining the Dutch-style livery but with the addition of Transrail’s logo and markings. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTransrail was one of a number of main line companies to be bought in 1996 to form new freight operator, English Welsh \u0026amp; Scottish (EWS).
