Games Workshop

Choosing Games Workshop products

Start with the game system or collection you want to build. Compare each product’s faction, contents and intended use; miniature kits, books, paints and accessories serve different purposes.

Miniatures and assembly

Read the included-items list and assembly guidance. Check whether glue, tools, paints or other supplies are required separately, and choose suitable products for the kit’s materials.

Books and game rules

Check the book’s description, format, game system and edition compatibility. A novel, background book and game rulebook are different purchases; confirm what you need before ordering.

Stock and preorders

Check the individual product page for availability and purchasing options. If an item is offered as a preorder, review its listed release or estimated arrival information before placing an order.

Games Workshop buying questions

Does every miniature kit include paints and glue?

Contents vary. Read the specific kit’s included and required items rather than assuming that assembly or painting supplies are supplied.

Can I use any paint on a miniature?

Follow the paint manufacturer’s preparation, application and safety instructions. Select a paint and primer suitable for the model’s materials; different paint products have different requirements.
