Hobby Magnets

(14 products)

Build your next project with hobby magnets from Green Stuff World, Hobbytech and The Army Painter. Our neodymium magnets give you strong holding power in a small size, so you can attach parts without glue. Use them to swap weapons on tabletop miniatures, build modular scenery, or hold panels on scratch-built models. Choose N52 models for most hobby builds to give you a good balance of size and strength. Use N53 options when you need extra holding power for heavier pieces, or pick rotation magnets for parts that need to spin or pivot.

Are neodymium magnets good for hobby projects?
Neodymium magnets work well in hobby builds because they’re strong and compact. Use them to attach model parts that you want to remove later, build magnetic closures on terrain, or add hidden joints to RC bodies and figures. They also come in handy for tool racks, science kits and small DIY projects.

Which magnet is stronger, N35 or N52?
N52 magnets hold much stronger than N35 magnets of the same size. If you need more grip in a small space, N52 is the better choice for hobby builds.

What size magnet should I use for miniatures?
For most tabletop miniatures, round magnets between 2 mm and 5 mm across give you a strong hold without taking up much space. Thinner magnets work for small parts like arms or weapons, and thicker magnets help larger pieces stay in place. Check your part size and drill depth before fitting the magnets.
