Conditions of Use
Hobbytech is a retailer of Hobby and Toy products, with full ranges of spares and accessories to compliment our range of products. Hobbytech stocks over 40 000 items from more than 650 quality manufacturers. Our product ranges include: Radio controlled models and spare parts/accessories, Plastic models and paints/glues and accessories, Model Trains,Drones, Model Rockets, Kids toys, Craft items,Die-Cast models, Tools and Collectable items.
The cost of shipping is determined as follows:
Shipping cost will be automatically calculated on checkout.
- Orders will be shipped via Australia Post / Toll.
- Insurance may be requested on parcels at an additional cost per consignment. Hobbytech will not be held responsible for any losses or damages caused by Australian Post office/Toll. All disputes must be taken up with Australia post office/Toll directly.
- No items will be sent with overnight without prior arrangements
- No deliveries will be done outside of Australia.
- By placing your order on the hobbytech website or via e-mail/telephone you accept all the shipping terms listed above.
2. Currency and GST:
The prices displayed are in Australian Dollars and include 10% GST.
3. DELIVERIES
All items shown as in stock will be shipped within 3 days. Hobbytech will make every effort to assure that the information supplied on the website is accurate. Where delays and out of stock situations occur, every effort will be made to inform the buyer.
4. PAYMENT:

All credit/debit card transactions will be handled by Paypal, no details are kept by Hobbytech at anytime.
You do NOT need a Paypal account to pay via the Paypal gateway
Hobbytech scrutinizes all transactions to prevent attempted fraud and a transaction may be refused if we are not satisfied with its legitimacy.
Payment may be made by bank transfer into the Hobbytech bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
Customer details will be stored by Hobbytech.
Payment details from cards are not visible to Hobbytech
Bank deposit payments:
If the buyer selects to pay via bank deposit instructions will be given on how to deposit monies subject to the following:
The exact amount must be paid. No refunds will be given as “change”
The payment must be identified by supplying the order number and surname in the reference section of the deposit slip or on the electronic transfer.
Cheque deposits are not accepted as payment.
No deposits are accepted from outside of Australia.
Unpaid bank deposit orders will be cancelled if no payment is received within 3 days of order.
No orders will be shipped until payment has reflected on Hobbytech International bank statement.
5. AGREEMENT OF SALE
Placing an item in a shopping basket or adding it to a wish list does not constitute an agreement of sale or order for the product. An agreement of sale only comes into effect when Hobbytech dispatches the goods. Hobbytech reserves the right to refuse an order without furnishing any reason. Hobbytech reserves the right to cancel orders as circumstances dictate. Hobbytech shall only be liable to refund monies already paid by the user. Hobbytech shall take all reasonable efforts to maintain correct prices and stock availability. However, should errors occur and items are offered at incorrect prices or are out of stock, Hobbytech will not be obliged to sell goods at such incorrect prices and shall only be liable to refund monies paid. All advertisements/specifications on products are subject to change without prior notice. Hobbytech reserves the right to refuse any sale.
6. GUARANTEE
Hobbytech will honor the manufacturer’s guarantees if such guarantees are offered.
Warranty is accepted at the point of purchase which is Shop 18/276 Leach Highway, Myaree, Perth, Western Australia, 6154.
All freight/costs to return item for warranty/guarantee are for the customer.
As the products offered are mostly imported and guarantees are normally “carry in” there are shipping costs involved in honoring these guarantees.
There are no guarantees/warranties on any electronics that have been used or batteries sold.
There are no guarantees/warranties on any batteries whatsoever, all batteries are tested prior to leaving our premises.
7. LAW
This site is operated and controlled from Australia and is therefore governed by Australian consumer law.
8. PRIVACY
Hobbytech shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of Users. Hobbytech may collect, store and use the following personal information of Users
- Name and surname
- birth date
- gender
- country of residence
- closest city
- non-personal browsing habits and click patterns
- e-mail address
- IP address
- ID number / passport number.
The information may be used for the following purposes:
- to greet the User when he/she accesses site
- subject to the User's consent, inform the User about special offers and new products.
- To compile non-personal statistical information about browsing habits, click-patterns and access
- To verify the identity of the User
- To ensure that the goods are received by the addressee
- Information detailed above is collected either electronically by using cookies or is provided voluntarily by the User.
- Users may determine cookie use independently through their browser settings.
- The User may elect not to receive any communications
9. DOMICILIUM
Hobbytech chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature as Shop 18/276 Leach Highway, Myaree, Perth, Western Australia, 6154.
10. AGREEMENTS
This Agreement commences upon registration on the Hobbytech website and continues indefinitely until cancelled by Hobbytech.
11. RETURNS AND REFUNDS POLICY
DO NOT RETURN any product prior to confirmation of acceptance of return by Hobbytech
Returned merchandise must be in unused condition and in its original packaging. The mounting of engines and accessories, running fuel through engines, cutting or pushing out the balsa sheets in kits, and other similar actions constitutes used merchandise. Radios must be returned with unmounted servos and switch harness. If you are unsure please contact us and we will confirm conditions.
Example:
When packing your order for return, please be sure all the original packing material and instruction papers and/or manuals are included. We will be unable to process your return if parts are missing, or if items are not packed properly to avoid damage to products and their boxes and/or packages. ARF kits are specially packaged to insure safe shipping of all contents. In order to receive credit for a returned ARF, the contents must be returned in the original plastic covers and arranged in a manner that will not damage the contents or packaging.
We will only accept returns within 10days of invoice date. Freight charges will not be refunded. The customer is responsible for insured shipping back to our shop.
Returns sent COD will not be accepted.
Hobbytech reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee on any merchandise returned for credit.
Hobbytech does not do Cash/EFT refunds on any orders - No exceptions.
12. MERCHANT OUTLET COUNTRY AND TRANSACTION CURRENCY
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is Australia. Transaction Currency is Australian Dollars (AUD).
13. RESPONSIBILITY
Hobbytech takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support and dispute resolution.
Hobbytech takes no responsibility for loss of goods once shipped
14. VARIATION
Hobbytech may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
