The Knight BusTM from the Harry Potter series is here to rescue young wizards, witches and Muggles alike. This DIY wooden mechanical model bus is an exciting addition to the Ugears Harry Potter collection, and a very clever piece of engineering indeed. To create this triple-decker bus, with its unique features from the Wizarding World universe, our Ugears designers and engineers set themselves an ambitious goal: create a bus that can narrow and expand itself, and change speed when it does, just like in the movie Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
The speedy Knight BusTM can roar through the streets of Muggle London (or your living room) thanks to its powerful spring-powered motor, which is wound using a secret key stored on top of the bus. Raise the magical manipulator button, also on the roof of the bus, to lock the drive gears and prevent the bus from running away before all wizards and witches have boarded. With the bus stopped you can now remove the secret winding key, insert it into the ratchet mechanism on the side of the bus and give it a few twists. To set the bus in motion, press down the magical manipulator button while holding the bus, then let go! The Knight BusTM roars off thanks to a system of gears that transfer energy from the spring to the wheels, including a "flip" gear that lets the bus continue coasting.
The standout feature of the DIY wooden model Knight BusTM is its ability to transform by narrowing or expanding its width with a twist of the magical manipulator. Twist the knob on top of the bus counterclockwise and the bus becomes narrow, for squeezing between traffic. Twist the knob clockwise to expand the bus (and any passengers) to their true size. But here's the amazing thing—as the width of the bus changes, so does the speed! In its normal (not compressed) state, the bus travels astonishingly fast. Compress the bus and an internal mechanism makes the bus travel in slow motion.
You can leave the Knight BusTM in its attractive, natural wood state, paint it purple (as seen in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), or do it up in any color scheme you like with your own paints or wood stains. The DIY model bus, based on a magical universe, created by J. K. Rowling, is rated "middle" difficulty, has 268 pieces and an estimated assembly time of 6 hours. To assemble, just punch the pieces out of the laser pre-cut boards and snap them together. No glue or special tools required. Don't forget to sand and wax the moving parts to make your Knight BusTM run smoothly (sandpaper and wax included in the kit). Detailed, illustrated instructions are available in 11 languages.

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a return, refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
All returns are subject to a 15% restocking and admin fee.

Warranty/ Faulty Items: Refund or Exchange
If you are having trouble with any of your purchases, and suspect it could be a warranty issue, then please email or phone us to go through your item's history of use and background. We are very reasonable when it comes to faults, and will try and resolve any concerns you have as quickly and painlessly as possible.
Each product is covered by the respective manufacturers warranty policy and some products may have individual components that are covered by separate warranties and time frames. We do not offer any additional product warranties outside the manufacturer’s warranty.
Please discuss any warranty concerns with us before sending the items back to avoid any confusion and unnecessary costs. We will generally require you to send photos of the product with your purchase details for an initial assessment and we will go from there.
Postage costs will be at the returner’s expense and refunded if the product is proven to be covered by warranty.
If the product is required to be sent back to our suppliers for assessment, we will cover this cost.
We will always try to resolve any warranty concerns as quickly as possible, where any delay is incurred we will communicate this to you.
- A warranty refers to any new product which has a manufacturing defect or a major failure within a reasonable period.
- If the warranty relates to a minor failure then we may replace, repair or refund the item.
- On assessment if the product is deemed as having a major failure, the customer can decide whether they would like a replacement, repair or refund.
- A warranty does not apply to any wear and tear on a product, crash damage or a product being used outside it’s intended use.

The cost of shipping is determined as follows:
- Shipping cost will be automatically calculated on checkout.
- Orders will be shipped via Australia Post or Team Global Express.
- No deliveries will be done outside of Australia.
- If Free Shipping is selected - Hobbytech Toys will decide on the freight carrier service - This is non-negotiable.

We have several checks in place to make sure you get the items that you are after and they reach you in good order. If for some reason you didn’t receive the item you ordered, it’s damaged or simply not what you expected then please let us know within 7 days of receiving so we can organize an exchange or refund, whichever you prefer! For items damaged in transit a picture of the packaging will be required.
If the mistake was made at our end, we will happily pay the return postage.
If no one is around when delivery is attempted, a delivery slip with contact information will be left for you to arrange a re-delivery (charges may apply).
