This is a Axial SCX10 II Deadbolt RC Crawler, RTR, Sand RC Car
Legendary for its scale off-road performance and durability, the Axial® SCX10™ II chassis returns for an encore in the affordable, easily upgradeable Deadbolt™ 4WD — an agile, short wheelbase ready-to-run rig that comes equipped to conquer any trail.
Realistic, durable steel C-channel chassis with cross braces for reinforcement and rigidity
Single-piece AR44 front and rear axles with molded truss for extreme durability
LCX AX10 transmission with adjustable gearing ratio for super high speed or competition-level crawling speed
Universal joint axles allowing up to 45° of steering and providing an efficient, high-performance drivetrain
Optimized gear ratio of 3.75 that reduces torque twist
Agile, affordable, and upgradeable
The ready-to-run Axial® SCX10™ II Deadbolt™ 4WD is a budget-friendly, highly capable, and easily upgradeable RC rock crawler that's perfectly suited for both experienced adventurers and hobby newcomers. It combines rugged scale looks with the exceptional handling of the trail-ready SCX10 II chassis, in a 12" short wheelbase setup that's agile enough to take on twisty trails.
The SCX10 II remains one of the best 1/10 scale rock crawler chassis ever designed. This high-strength, C-channel chassis is made of durable steel with cross braces for reinforcement and rigidity. The contoured skid plate significantly reduces hang-ups, and the simplified design makes maintenance quick and easy.
Highly adaptable, the SCX10 II Deadbolt 4WD also features an adjustable wheelbase, adjustable body mount, adjustable bumper mounts with swaybar mounting points, and mounting points for an optional 2-speed transmission and servo winch. The included LCX AX10™ transmission, with a three gear layout, heavy-duty slipper, sealed gear cover, and all-metal gears, accepts a wide range of gearing options. Its overall ratio can be adjusted using different pinion and spur gear choices for super high speed or competition-level crawling speed.
Just as a full-size truck has its steering box located on the frame, Axial® places the Deadbolt's adjustable servo mount on the SCX10 II chassis frame and allows a wide range of servos to be used. Universal joint axles permit up to 45° of steering and provide an efficient, high-performance drivetrain. The single-piece AR44™ front and rear axles feature a molded truss for extreme durability. The pinion gear is 6mm above center for higher ground clearance and improved driveshaft angles. Metal dog bones and helical cut internal gears are standard equipment, and the drivetrain includes full, high-quality ball bearings.
The oil-filled shocks, with threaded bodies and a single coilover spring, can be tuned to meet the dampening demands of any trail. Realistic shock hoops with multiple mounting positions let you adjust the suspension for maximum performance. S30 compound, 4.7" x 1.9" wide Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires on METHOD 307 Hole wheels provide ample ground clearance for off-road trails and have a large block tread pattern for excellent bite in all terrain.
With a realistic driver figure and exterior cage complete with light bar (LED lights sold separately), the Axial® SCX10 II Deadbolt 4WD delivers scale excitement and class-leading performance in a convenient, ready-to-run package. Nearly all electronics, including a Spektrum™ SLT2 2.4GHz radio system, motor, and ESC, are supplied and installed. Just add your choice of batteries and charger and start your adventure!

All RC Vehicles sold by Hobbytech Toys come with a 30-day manufacturer’s warranty specifically covering electronics. For all other parts, warranty coverage is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Hobbytech Toys is committed to fair treatment when it comes to honoring warranties. However, it is important to note that warranties do not cover damages resulting from accidents or crashes. Breakages or failures caused by misuse, abuse, or inadequate maintenance are also not considered warrantable.
No drivetrain, suspension, or gears come with any warranty unless they are incorrectly fitted by the manufacturer. Due to the nature of how RC Vehicles are operated, Hobbytech Toys cannot provide warranties for damages incurred during regular operation.
By opening and using your RC vehicle, you accept our terms outlined above. If you do not accept the terms, please return your unopened and unused product for a full refund.
While bringing the part into our store is the preferred method for quick and accurate assessment, we understand that not all customers may be local. In such cases, we will make every effort to assess or diagnose the item without requiring it to be sent back to our store. However, in some instances, postage back to us may be necessary.
Please be aware that postage costs are generally not covered by our warranty policy. Nevertheless, to maintain fairness, we will cover the shipping costs for replacement parts from our warehouse or store to your designated address if the item is deemed faulty.
Product Warranty Does Not Cover Modified Products – Modifying the product in any way voids the warranty offered by our manufacturers. This includes painting, gluing, cutting, soldering, modifying electrical connectors on Motors / ESCs / Batteries, or modifying a product in any way. If you attempt to return a product which has been modified, your warranty claim will be denied, and the product will be returned at your expense
General tips for getting the most from your RC product
- Read the manual. This will give you all the information needed about any building required, pairing the radio and more. Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference.
- Check that steering, flaps, rudder etc are operating correctly before use - Test all Transmitter functions & range test before use as well. Inspect and check that all nuts, bolts and screws are tight.
- Only use good quality batteries in the transmitter. We recommend and stock GP batteries but any good quality, non-rechargeable battery will work best.
- If you are using a Lipo battery, ensure that the Lipo cut off mode is set in your ESC.
- Be mindful of other people, animals, and property in the area around your RC vehicle.
- Always unplug & remove the battery from your RC vehicle when not in use.
- Turn your transmitter on first and ensure the throttle is down or in the neutral position before plugging your battery in.
- Always unplug or turn off your RC vehicle before the transmitter/remote is turned off, the transmitter/remote should always be turned on while the RC vehicle is switched on.
- Reverse polarity (plugging the battery in the wrong way) damage is not covered by warranty.
- Once the RC vehicle starts to appear to be slowing down it is time to stop. Don’t keep using the RC vehicle until it comes to a dead stop as this will damage the battery.
- Liquid ingression and/or water damage is not covered under warranty.
- Warranty for cars does not cover user error or physical damage – see below.
- Electronics will not be covered under warranty if the factory installed gearing or connectors have been changed
- Even though the manual/box says waterproof it is more a case of splash proof and not total immersion. Riding through puddles is considered immersion by many manufacturers and the resultant water damage may not be covered by warranty. Consult your vehicles manual for clarification. READ THE FINE PRINT regarding maintenance required after getting your RC Car wet.
- Never clean your car with water, only use compressed air or a suitable brush or cloth
- Only use the shock oil and other lubricants recommended by the manufacturer
- Manufacturers only guarantee items free from manufacturing defects. Any damage during a race or use is not a manufacturing defect. It is not covered by warranty.
- Rock crawlers that go through water will usually need to be pulled apart, cleaned, re-greased and be re-assembled as the water will damage the running gear of the car.
- Water in the tyres will cause the foam inserts to rot, this can be avoided by blocking the vent hole of the wheel or avoiding water. Water damage is not covered by warranty.
